About Us
EAA Chapter 639 - HMB Pilots is a 501c3 Charitable Organization which drives aviation advocacy at the Half Moon Bay Airport and community engagement through aviation focused networking, scholarships, educational sessions, and community engagement.
By providing Young Eagle flights for local youth and supporting community benefit events like the Pacific Coast Dream Machines auto and aircraft event, EAA Chapter 639 has assumed club activities from the Half Moon Bay Airport Pilots Association with a single nonprofit under the EAA umbrella.
Supporting Education and Community Engagement:
Over $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded to coast side students! Since 1991, the pilot groups at Half Moon Bay Airport have actively supported the educational goals of our high school graduates, with both aviation focused scholarships and needs & merit-based scholarships for graduates pursuing college.
Aviation Education: We enhance safe flight operations through education and keep coastside pilots flying via active engagement in our vibrant Half Moon Bay Airport community of tenants, aviation students and local enthusiasts
